MARTIAL ARTS CLASSES INSTILLS AND ENHANCES THE VALUE OF RESPECT
At the beginning and end of each Martial Arts class, the Instructors and students bow to each other. The BOW is gesture of greeting and respect. This is consistent with Karate, Taekwondo, Kung Fu, Hapkido and most Asian Martial Arts disciplines.
Martial Arts teaches children that each person is different in nature, skills, and abilities. In addition, Martial Arts encourages everyone to respect each other’s individuality during training, school, and home.
Martial Arts training also inspires children to listen to their Taekwondo Instructors, parents, and to their advanced peers, this happens when instructors are demonstrating techniques, drills or patterns.
Taekwondo athletes and students need to respect the referees and the rules of competitions which further promotes respect and discipline
