We are honoured to share that Grand Master Hassan Iskandar OAM has been formally awarded his esteemed 9th Dan certificates and plaques at Kukkiwon, the Taekwondo Headquarters in Seoul, South Korea. This milestone represents one of the highest recognitions in Taekwondo and celebrates a lifetime of dedication to the art.

The ceremony was held at Kukkiwon Korea, in the presence of senior Kukkiwon officials and distinguished international representatives. Receiving a 9th Dan from Kukkiwon is the most prestigious honours in Taekwondo and Martial Arts, acknowledging exceptional technical mastery, deep knowledge, exemplary leadership, and decades of service to the global Taekwondo community.

Led by world-renowned Grand Master Dr Hassan Iskandar PhD OAM, Pinnacle Martial Arts Sydney is guided by one of the highest-ranked Taekwondo GM Masters in the world, holding the prestigious 9th Dan Kukkiwon certification. Kukkiwon, the World Taekwondo Headquarters in Korea, awards the most globally recognised and respected Black Belt Dan certifications in Taekwondo and Martial Arts.

Grand Master Dr Hassan Iskandar PhD OAM brings more than 50 years of elite Martial Arts experience across multiple disciplines and is recognised as one of the most respected and influential Martial Arts leaders in Australia and internationally. He has served as President of Taekwondo Australia, a World Taekwondo Council Member, and an inductee into the official World Taekwondo Hall of Fame, reflecting a lifetime dedicated to excellence, leadership, and the advancement of Martial Arts worldwide.

Honoured with the Order of Australia Medal (OAM), the Australian Sports Medal, and the Tasmanian Star of Sport Award, Grand Master Hassan Iskandar has developed countless local, state, national, international, and continental medallists, including Australian Taekwondo representatives on junior and senior national teams.

Grand Master Iskandar has played a pivotal role in the growth and development of Taekwondo in New South Wales, across Australia, and internationally. He has been instrumental in building strong programs, mentoring generations of students, coaches, and instructors, and continually elevating the standard and reputation of Taekwondo within the Australian Taekwondo community.

Beyond Australia, Grand Master Hassan’s influence has extended worldwide through his ongoing efforts to promote, teach, and advance the Martial Art of Taekwondo. His leadership, guidance, and tireless service over many decades have helped strengthen and unify the global Taekwondo community.

The presentation of his 9th Dan plaques at Kukkiwon stands as a fitting recognition of his lifelong commitment, vision, and contribution to the world’s most popular Martial Art. It marks not only a personal achievement but also a proud moment for all who have trained under him and alongside him.
